Piešťany became a politic center of central- european region, video 

During the second weekend of September (from 12.-th till 13.-th September, 2008) Piešťany became a politic center of central- european region. The presidents of the V4 countries have met at the plenary session in the hotel Thermia Palace.

The wives of the presidents, during the work meeting of their husbands, had their own program.

The prezidents Ivan Gašparovič, Lech Kaczynski, Václav Klaus a László Sólyom negotiated in the Ferdinand´ s lounge, first ladies have walked through to the town...

Gifts for V4 presidents,

Administration of town Piešťany prepared gift for presidents of Visegrad group states. Ivan Gašparovič, László Sólyom, Lech Kaczyński and Váslav Klaus will receive bronze sculpture art works by young Slovak sculptor Roman Hrčka. He was inspired with Crutchbreaker - famous symbol of Piešťany. Four broken crutches symbolize eliminating of barriers and also agreement of four presidents. Mr. Hrčka did also design memorial medals with portraits of Winter brothers – founders of Spa Piešťany....

Postmark with V4 Summit logo,

Postmark with V4 summit logo will be decorate all postcards sent from post office Piešťany on 12th and 13th September. Guests and residents are allowed to acquire this postcard also on Colonnade Bridge – on Friday 12th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday 13th from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. This special postmark was created like remembrance on meeting of Slovak, Czech, Hungarian and Polish presidents.

Yoshiko Tsubouchi,

Exhibition of graphic Works of young Japanese artist will take place in Fontana Galery from 16th September to 6th October. Yoshiko Tsubouchi is a graduate of Academy of fine art and design in Bratislava.

Summit V4 and IFF Cinematik are accompanying with two exhibitions. ,

Healing Spa

International traveling exhibition of Slovak, Hungarian, Polish and Czech artist caricatures will start 12th September in Piešťany information centre. On the opening ceremony will attend wives of V4 presidents. Exhibition will be opened by wives of V4 presidents.
